The 1455 monitors its own water consumption and provides real time statistics to the ginner showing fresh water consumption, water evaporation rate, and purged water statistics. This information is also shown on a historical graph for monitoring performance. When cotton conditions become dry and the weather is hot, the 1455 automatically activates a "turbo nozzle" which increases evaporation rate to overcome many challenging conditions that other Humidaire Units simply cannot handle. If the gin is equipped with a Samuel Jackson Moisture Mirror II moisture control system, each Mirror II touch screen becomes a convenient remote control for the 1455, allowing the operator to start and stop the unit, acknowledge alarms and errors, and set temperatures either manually or adjust automatic setttings.
As the operator makes changes to the air and water temperatures of the 1455 Humidaire Unit, a useful "Humidaire Speed-o-meter" (right) shows him what his target output is and how closely the unit is achieving the target setting. This feature is particularly useful for new operators running a Humidaire Unit for the first time.
Are you new to Humidaire technology? You might benefit from a training video. At this time there is no training video for the HU-60-1455, but there is a complete video for its predecessor, the HU-60-1255. The operation principles are similar and a 1455 user will benefit from it. Follow this link to view a 60 second preview of the 1255 training video in English. The full version is higher resolution and about 50 minutes in total length. Would you like to see how the burner on a gas-fired Humidaire Unit operates? Watch the Humidaire Burner Video (MPG)!
